How do time-limited releases work?
Time-limited releases will be pre-announced via our mailing list and made available for purchase during a 24-hour period. Time-limited editions will be sized based on the number of prints we sell during those 24 hours. Everyone who orders on the sale day gets a print. We will never re-print an edition, once it has been made available for a timed-release sale.
When will I receive my item?
For time-limited releases, the edition size will be determined after the sale and then put into production, so please allow an estimated 4-6 weeks for delivery.
Other items usually ship within a week.
Delivery times will vary depending on your location and chosen shipping method. You’ll get an email from us when your order ships, with tracking information.
We try our best to keep shipping rates fair
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout time based on your address and chosen shipping method. We mark the quoted rates up slightly in order to cover some of our packaging costs – we use high-quality, recyclable packing materials to protect your items (and the Earth!).
I live in [Colorado or California]. Why was I charged sales tax?
The store is incorporated in California and managed in Colorado, so we have to collect and pay tax in both states.
If you are shipping internationally, be prepared for extra fees and delays
Our international shipping charges do not include the destination country’s duty, tax or customs fees. If applicable, these will be assessed upon delivery. We can not and will not falsely report on an item’s value to help you avoid these fees.
Estimated delivery times are not guarantees and items will sometimes get tied up in customs for weeks.
The USPS is lousy at tracking international packages
If you are ordering internationally and choose to ship via the US Postal Service, when we ship your order you will receive an email with a tracking number and a link which you can use to track your package on USPS.com. The linked page will contain up-to-date information until the package leaves the US, at which point the it will cease to be updated until the package has been either delivered or returned to the US. Sometimes it is possible to glean more information on an international package’s whereabouts by tracking it via the foreign delivery agent. We have compiled a small list of these agents here:

Please contact us immediately about lost or damaged items
Keep all original packing materials as they may be needed for insurance investigation purposes. Call 303-893-4077 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know about any damage ASAP. If possible, include pictures. We’ll be in touch with next steps.
If you’re not completely satisfied, call or email us to arrange a return within 30 days. All returns are subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.
We reserve the right to refuse service and/or limit quantities to anyone at our discretion.
Information you provide to The Store through the ordering process will only be used to keep you up-to-date with your order’s progress and to contact you if there are any issues.
Subscribers to The Store mailing list will only receive Store or James Jean related announcements, and may unsubscribe at any time.
Ordering an item does not subscribe you to the mailing list – the list must be opted-into separately, via our contact page.
We’ll never, ever, ever sell or otherwise give out information to a third party.
